A Holiday Wine Tasting
Joe Gurba of Vino al Vino Imports returns with another guided tasting to untangle the many styles of wine and all the different factors that make wines unique from one another. We’ve done bubbles, whites, reds, roses, and orange wines.
Now, by popular request, we are doing a redux of our reds night, SHADES OF RED, to highlight some extra special reds for the holidays. These are the reds you crack at Christmas and New Years with the best of company, with the kinds of meals you slaved over, or with yourself in that rare quiet moment of rest and reflection. These are the reds that are at home in a Decanter. Reds that are built to go the distance. The kind that trap your head in the glass with their tractor beam of beauty. Wines you’ll remember fondly! No six wines can capture such an immense spectrum, but at this tasting you can expect to taste rare wines of place and substance which, even at their higher price points, still offer profound value.
These are wines from extremely small estates with international renown. Without giving away the game, expect to taste Brunello, Syrah, Grenache, Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, and one last little surprise. And, as always, attendees will enjoy the opportunity to purchase/order these wines at a special rate.
