Bellwoods Jelly King [Dry-Hopped Sour; 500ml Bottle; 5.6% ABV]: At last! One of Canada’s most highly-regarded new craft breweries has made its way to Sherbrooke shelves. Since opening their brewpub in Toronto back in 2012, Bellwoods has consistently blown the minds of craft beer lovers, and we’re super stoked to score some of their Jelly King dry-hopped sour. A mixed fermentation ale with a significant amount dry-hopped Citra, Jelly King is maxed out on the tart scale with notes of fuzzy peach, tangerine, and cedar with little to no bitterness.

Alley Kat Schank’d It [Berliner Weisse; 650ml Bottle; 3.5% ABV]: Local heroes Alley Kat have returned once again with their ultra-limited Back Alley Brews series. This time around, the brewery has tackled the tart, light, and refreshing Berliner Weisse style. To top it all off, Alley Kat also brought in their friends at Acquired Taste Tea Company to help source some hibiscus flowers which lend the beer a distinctive pink hue.

Firestone Walker Proprietor’s Vintage Series (Bravo, Helldorado, Stickee Monkee, Parabola): This month, we were beyond excited to see not 1, not 2, not 3, not 5, but 4 releases in Firestone Walker’s highly acclaimed Proprietor’s Vintage series arrive at our store. Each beer in the series is released once a year in extremely limited batches and gets beer aficionados fired up and clamoring to get their hands on a bottle. This time around, we were lucky enough to receive bottles of Bravo (Imperial Brown Ale), Helldorado (Blonde Barley Wine), Stickee Monkee (Belgian Quad), and the top-billed Parabola (Imperial Stout) which are all going fast. All of these brews have undergone the barrel-aging treatment and are truly world-class.
